Low Maintenance Landscape started business in 2001 as a small local landscape design-build-maintenance company from a single car garage.  Our goal was to offer the absolute best quality work, customer service and competitive pricing available.  We specialize in offering a different kind of landscape; one that will stand the test of time by using well adapted and native plant material. Many years later we have grown into well known, top notch, full service, landscape company.  We have never forgotten our roots and have a commitment to strive for the best ratings in the industry.  The greatest change from our beginning days is the influx of business.  We have adapted to this greater demand  by hiring the best team of qualified, knowledgeable, and friendly employees.  We have been featured on the Channel 6 evening news,  a local garden show, “Home and Away” show, and have been in several newspaper articles.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

We specialize in unique and sustainable landscapes using natural materials and locally grown plants. We work with nature, not against it! We believe that low maintenance can be very beautiful…not a barren slab of ground with decorative rock thrown over it.  We visuallize your outdoor space and brainstorm ideas for how we would use the property as if it were our own. We create outdoor living spaces, green spaces, hardscape features, functional areas and gardens that work with nature not against it! A great example of how to make your landscape lower maintenance is to redesign the bed and lawn areas to make it easy to mow around. Eliminate grass on steep hills, excessive shade areas, muddy areas, narrow areas, inaccessible areas, heavy foot traffic areas, ect. If you mow 20-40 times per year, this can save you alot of time and money! It is great fun to see the before and after pictures!

OUR LANDSCAPE DESIGNERS

Our landscape design staff is very experienced; having collectively designed over 1000 landscapes in the Lawrence area!  Our designers will listen to your creative ideas and make your dreams a reality.  Our plant / horticultural knowledge is superb! We can often just look at your landscape once and already have a good idea which plants will survive there.

OUR CREWS

Low Maintenance Landscape team members will arrive at your site in company shirts/hats. We hire only talented and dedicated individuals who all share a common goal for 100% customer satisfaction and offering the best service possible.  Each team member has recieved proper training including plant knowledge, hardscape skills and maintenance techniques. We only hire legal US citzens that have passed our background checks!
