From a maintenance standpoint, we know exactly what kinds of plants you will be happy with around your pool. Usually rock mulch is recommended around pools to avoid the hassle of wood mulch blowing into the water. Plants, however, have a more difficult time growing in rock than in wood mulch. We specify plants that do well in rock mulch and tolerate occasional splashes with chlorine water. It is also important to avoid plants that frequently shed leaves or dead flowers.
