Wood mulch is a most economical way to cover bare ground. This is especially helpful and areas where grass will not grow because of dry shade and or large trees. The maintenance of large mulch only areas is low; much lower than frequent mowings. Weed control can easily be achieved by spraying the area 2-4 times per season.
